Wow! Summer has come and gone.
I can't believe it's already over. I still feel like I'm on vacation. Wow, now time to work, work, work so that I can go on vacation again.Looking back, I had a really good and busy summer. We traveled to many places and we did so many things. We went to Europe, we ate at wonderful restaurants, we saw some great show. I really love the social life I have with Jason. We get to do everything. We've gone surfing, riding, hiking, and even ballroom dancing.
Just this past week we have a lot of plans in stored for the two of us. We're planning on seeing Maxwell at the end of the month, which will be exciting because he hasn't had an album since like 2000. We're hoping to go to another concert soon after that. We love comedy and we just purchased tickets to see Charlie Murphy. I think it's essential that him and I go to lots of shows so that we become more cultured. I personally find it more satisfying than simply going to the movies.
So far we've seen a show on broadway: Wicked, we've seen a show in London: Les Miserables, we've been to a comedy club in NYC, we've seen Katt Williams, we've seen Les Nubians in concert, we've been to La Moulin Rouge, we've seen Romeo & Juliet at the open air theatre in London and we plan to go to many more shows.
I have one more thing to cross out of my bucket list: riding a motorcycle! LOL Shh...don't tell my parents that I ride with Jason hahahaha. I LOVE RIDING with him! It's sooooo much fun, it's crazy!
Oh and also, sadly I've gained some weight. Yes, unfortunatley I'm up to 120lbs. It's still in the normal range, but I have like over 30% body fat. It's rediculous! Jason is putting me on a regimen. We storta lost our way this summer, having too much fun and just being careless. Now that the seasons have changed we're very determined to get us back into shape and even more so.
He's been very concerned with my weight, he wants to make sure that I don't lose too much weight. But we discussed it a bit today and agreed that it is ok for my to go down to about 100-110 as long as I'm at 20% body fat and all lean muscle. It's very important for me to be all muscle so that I can maintain a strong frame, otherwise if I am just 100 lbs of all skin and bones I'll be very weak and skinny! I've been there before and it's not fun. I couldn't even open doors and windows because I was so weak and thin.
I'm not quite sure how the plan is going to work. So far I'm watching what I eat, I'm counting calories, only drinking water, doing lots of cardio and lifting weights. Another thing that works is doing push ups, jump rope and situps. I used to do the same sort of workouts before and my body was looking better. So, I'm excited about getting a newer and fitter body.
One of the reasons why I want a fitter body is for dancing. I have since taken hula, tahitian and salsa. I've been practicing and I really want to have a nicer body for performing. It's odd people already think I'm rather petite, but I want to look smaller. I'm not at the place I would like to be, aren't we all? I think the last time I was really quite satisfied with my size was when I reached sized 0 for the first time. Right now I'm a size 2. I can still fit into my size 0 clothes, but it's a tight fit. I want to at least get back to that, but healthier.
I just found out from a friend of mine that she has been doing well on her weight loss. She said that she started off at 240lbs and that she's finally under 200lbs. So, she lost at least 40lbs! I'm so happy for her. She's hoping to continue going down to 130lbs, she's 5'2". That's actually a very good weight for her and is at a normal range. She's still considered obease at under 200lbs, so for health reasons it's best for her to keep going down. She told me she plateaued and it's been difficult to shed off the rest of the weight. She figures she'll need to work harder, but I just told her to change her diet again, maybe add some peanuts or almonds. Her metabolism just needs to jump and get excited with a new routine.
Hopefully I can feed off her enthusiasm to help me lose my weight. Well, that's the update with me for now. I'm off to go run some errands. Enjoy!
